Introduction to Group Care Resources

Many times group leaders are the first to hear of an addiction, traumatic experience, desperate situation, or personal tragedy a group member is experiencing. These conversations can often be difficult to navigate, so these tools are a helpful way to get started as you're caring for your group members.
It's important to have discernment about when you are capable of helping a group member to the point of healing and when you are not. In most situations, the group leader will use these tools as a band-aid to guide a first conversation and then refer the group member to a pastor or Christian counselor for additional help.
In almost every instance, the group leader needs to refer the group member as soon as possible.

In cases of abuse in particular, it is essential that you notify church leadership so we can help you through the process of reporting and helping ensure the safety of group members.

If a difficult situation is brought to your attention, please use these tools and then reach out to your coach and/or a pastor immediately so we can work through next steps together.
